Task 2
Question:People find it very difficult to speak in public or to give a presentation. Some people say that public speaking should be taught at schools. Do you agree or disagree?

The ability to articulate freely and fearlessly is indeed the panache that is bestowed on certain extraordinary individuals whereas there are a few who stutter and stammer in front of an audience, which is termed as stage fright. Having said that, the quintessence of the theme in question is whether oratory ought to be incorporated into school curriculum or not. At this juncture, my candid view is that public speaking should find a place in the syllabus, whereupon children can amass the perfect ploy to express themselves without hesitation and hindrance. .

In this era of rat race, amidst many parameters to judge a person's prominence, the oratorical skill is deemed to be enormously seminal. These days it is not uncommon some people are profusely endowed with exceptional flair for speaking; consequently, they attain immense confidence and courage to encounter any gruelling situations. Whilst some people are gifted with the innate talent to speak fluently, there are so many who need to be honed to reach the peak of public speaking skill. Here comes the inspirational role of the mentors at schools and colleges, who can lend a helping hand to carve a niche in students’ career by developing their proficiency in speaking. Further, those who are at the helm of school and college education firmly opine that it is immensely imperative to organize elocution, debates, panel discussions and so on and so forth in order to boost the level of their performance. In brief, once these remedial and confidence -building measures are adopted by the school administration, the agony and anguish of umpteen pupils to face an assembly or a gathering can be ameliorated to a great extent.

As a responsible citizen in a democracy, it is one's bounden duty to announce the stark realities to the whole world without mincing one's words. In this world of cut-throat competition, where even democratic values and age-old sublime traditions are trampled, I strongly feel that there should not be any dearth of talented personalities who are proficient in public speaking. Furthermore, it is the need of the hour to groom such fiery and uncompromising speakers to help deliver the bona fide messages in every nook and cranny of the globe so that the general public will not trudge in the path of make-believe. All in all, it is of paramount importance to train young minds by fostering various strategies in public speaking in order that eminent orators can be nurtured for this contemporary society, which is being sabotaged by the sinister designs of certain malevolent politicians and top-ranking officials.

The gist of the aforesaid lengthy discourse is that public speaking skill is a sine qua non and, in my perspective, it has to be earnestly trained at schools and colleges so that our young adults could be worthy citizens with more leadership quality and ability to convince an audience with their faultless and forthright style of speaking.
