IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System. It is basically an English test for testing the proficiency of the english language of an individual.
IELTS offers two modules to the candidates.
Those who intend to pursue their higher education abroad along with medical professionals who wish to work abroad are required to write the academic module. Non academic professionals and those who look for immigration should take the general training module

In the IELTS exam, your ability in four skills of english language is tested. These are reading, speaking, listening, writing and speaking.

In IELTS, no one passes or fails. To all test takers, a test report form is issued with a score from band 1 (non-user) to band 9 (expert user). Each institution sets a different threshold for IELTS scores, with a validity of two years and is considered by most of the institutions.

In the intermediate batch, the student applies all the tips and techniques acquired by the candidates from the beginners batch. The student will be provided individual corrections in speaking and the writing modules in the intermediate batch, along with the reading and listening practising sessions.
In the exam batch, a regular exam oriented training is offered to the candidates. It includes face to face speaking sessions, individual attention in writing tasks and daily practicing of reading and listening modules.

The IELTS exam is conducted and managed by the British council, IDP Australia and the Cambridge assessment english. Candidates can choose any of the organisations according to their choice.
