Logistics is defined as the movement of goods from one point to another to satisfy the customer’s needs. From the largest automobile manufacturers to the small scale producers, any company that purchases or sells products has a need for logistics professionals to manage the flow of product and information domestically and internationally. Service firms like hospitals and restaurant chains must also manage logistics activities. Logistics function as the integrator of the supply chain. Hence, an agile supply chain is managed by the skillful logisticians to get the product to the market – At the right time, At the Right place and the right quantities with right cost.
We at Leedz are vocals the course Professional Diploma in Logistics and supply chain management (PDLSM). The objective of this course is that after the successful completion of this course, the candidate should have understood the fundamentals of logistics and supply chain management with the help of theory and practical knowledge and leads him to start a new career in the field of Logistics.
Logistics and Supply Chain Management is our flagship program offered by LEEDZ Business School. We started this course with an aim to bring out the best trained graduates in Logistics. Logistics & Supply Chain is an industry that encompasses every effort involved in producing and delivering a final product or service. From the supplier’s supplier to the customer’s customer, Being involved in this process is ensuring as the retail world economy keeps moving.
The course is designed for the candidate who completed Plus Two or equivalent. Those who are pursuing the degree can also apply for this course. The student must need an interest in a field of Logistics and also in transportation. An enthusiastic student with basic computer knowledge will be the key interest to opt this course.
An Exam of objective model will be conducted for each subject. Open book Exam is opted for accounting and strategy. Exams are conducted at the end of the semester and the candidate need to obtain at least 50% in each subject to be certified.
Each candidate shall be required to take up an individual internship at the end of the semester for a period of 22 days (150hrs)
The students may choose to work on related port/shipping/logistics area, conduct appropriate studies/research, before submission of findings in the form of a research report.
The student, who fails to submit his /her project report at the end of the semester, will not be permitted to write the exam.
